Shashank Shekhar is a senior petrochemicals editor at &P Global Platts. With more than 15 years of writing experience Shashank is responsible for the coverage of ethylene and its downstream products in Europe. Previously, he has delved into a wide array of subjects including energy, metals and politics.

Lara Berton

Associate Editor, S&P Global Platts

Lara Berton is an Associate Editor in European Petrochemicals at S&P Global Platts in London with a special focus on methanol, olefins and polymers. Prior to Platts Lara graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with an MSc in Local Economic Development. She also holds a BSc in International Politics from City University. She speaks fluent English, Italian, and Spanish.

Luke Milner

Associate Editor, S&P Global Platts

Luke Milner joined Platts in October 2017 and currently works as part of the European olefins and polymers team. Luke has over four years’ experience reporting on petrochemical markets in Europe and, prior to moving into the petrochemical markets, spent several years reporting on a diverse range of industries, including banking, shipping and retail. Luke studied Modern European Languages at the University of Durham and has spent time working in Italy, France and Brazil, as well as in the UK.

Ora Lazic

Ora Lazic joined S&P Global Platts in September 2018, and currently covers EMEA olefins and polymers markets. Ora holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations & Globalization from London Metropolitan University and brings her recent experience in project consulting for the oil, gas and petrochemical industry, with the specific focus on Russia and the FSU. Ora completed her degree in English in 1997 in Kazakhstan and worked at international oil field operations of Tengiz and Kashagan. In the past 5 years, Ora worked on various engineering and construction projects, including London Olympic village, Hinckley Point nuclear power plant in the UK, Future Generation Project expansion for Chevron in Kazakhstan, Caspian Pipeline Consortium expansion by Chevron and Salym Petroleum Development by Shell in Russia. Ora speaks English, Russian and Kazakh languages.

Senior Pricing Specialist, S&P Global Platts

Simon works with the aromatics team in London, covering primarily European benzene and toluene markets with a focus on pricing, news and analysis. Prior to joining the petrochemicals team, Simon spent several years developing benchmark coverage and assessments in metals for Platts.

Benjamin Brooks

Senior Pricing Specialist, S&P Global Platts

Ben covers the mixed xylenes and PET markets in Europe, with responsibility for pricing, news and analysis. Ben brings experience from the Gas and Power team as well as the Shipping team within Platts. Prior to joining Platts, Ben graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Classics, where his dissertation focused on the economic benefits of technological innovation in the Roman Empire.

Olu Shaw

Based in London, Olu works within the aromatics team covering European styrene, polystyrene and ABS markets with a focus on pricing, news and analysis. Prior to joining Platts Olu was an analyst covering the European gas market, he has also held positions at Schlumberger and Valiant Petroleum as a Geologist.
