Ashwani Dudeja
Group President & Director International Business (Green Hydrogen & Ammonia), ACME Group

Ashwani has nearly 30 years of marketing and business development experience in the energy sector and has worked across Asia and Europe in various functional and leadership roles. He has contributed to the development of gas and power markets, enabling policies, and regulatory frameworks by leveraging his rich global experience. He is currently leading the green hydrogen and ammonia business for ACME Group as the President and Director based out of Dubai.

Prior to joining ACME, Ashwani was heading the global LNG marketing business for ADNOC, the national oil company of UAE. Previously, Ashwani has worked for ~20 years with Shell (and BG Group) and his last role was as the Country Head for Shell Energy India responsible for the Gas, LNG and Power businesses of Shell in India. He also worked with Reliance Industries and Thermax before joining Shell.

Ashwani holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.

Joseph Uddo
President, AES Vietnam

Joseph currently serves as President of AES Vietnam. He is responsible for all aspects of AES’ business activities in Vietnam including the operation of the 1,242 MW Mong Duong 2 Power Plant, the development of the 2,250 MW Son My No. 2 (CCGT) power plant together with the $1.5 billion Son My LNG import terminal, the development of renewable energy projects and the commercialization in market of AES renewable technology investments such as Fluence and 5B. AES has offices in Hanoi, HCMC, Binh Thuan Province and Quang Ninh Province.

Prior to moving to Vietnam in 2022, Joseph served the AES Corporation as Vice President of Market Development based in AES global headquarters in Arlington Virginia. There Joseph managed a commercial portfolio which included developing energy resilience solutions for the United States Government as well as various business development objectives across AES’ international businesses.

Joseph came to AES from a career serving in various energy policy and diplomatic roles in the United States Government from the halls of Congress to the Office of International Affairs at The Department of Energy where he managed the Office of Market Development and Energy Innovation.

With extensive energy policy and diplomatic experience in Vietnam, Joseph is focused on the development, construction and operation of energy projects in the country and plays an active role in the sustainable development agenda of the industry. He continues to engage with Government stakeholders from Vietnam and the United States to promote bilateral business relationships between the two countries.

Deepak Agrawala
Senior Executive Vice President, Avaada Group

Mr. Deepak Agrawala heads the Equity & Investor Relations and Strategy functions as Senior Executive Vice President at Avaada Group. With over two decades of experience in the financial sector, Mr. Agrawala is an unparalleled expert in Institutional Equities, Investment Banking, Fundraising, M&A and Capital Markets (IPO, OFS, QIP).

Mr. Deepak Agrawala boasts an impressive track record of over two decades working for toptier companies such as, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, Ernst and Young, CRISIL, Elara Capital and Bajaj Auto Ltd. He has been actively involved in transactions involving raising ~ US$ 10bn of capital during the journey so far by successfully advising corporates spanning across Energy & Infrastructure, Financials, Defense, Industrials and Capital Goods sectors.

He completed Mechanical Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai, and a Diploma in Business Finance from ICFAI. He has earned his MBA from IIM Lucknow.

Adrian Ang
Senior LNG Trader, Axpo Singapore

Adrian Ang is a Senior LNG Trader for Axpo Singapore. He joined Axpo in 2021 to help lead Axpo’s LNG development in the Asia Pacific region. His role involves building both a physical and derivatives LNG book, managing price and operational risks out of Singapore. An LNG professional with over 13 years of experience, he started his career in PETRONAS LNG where he spent 7 years across risk management, derivatives trading, physical LNG trading and origination and strategy and business development. He then spent the following 3 years as a Principal LNG Advisor in Gladstone LNG during which time amongst others, he worked closely on the potential gas shortfall facing the East Coast of Australia where he developed a keen sense of stakeholder management. He holds a degree in economics and management from the University of Bordeaux, France.

Hugo Wang
Director, CEO - Singapore, Beijing Gas

Mr. Hugo Wang graduated from Monash University in 2007. Mr. Hugo is currently leading Beijing Gas Singapore Private Ltd,which is wholly owned by Beijing Gas Group.

Mr. Hugo is a distinguished expert in the LNG industry with over 14 years of invaluable experience. Throughout his career, Hugo has successfully navigated the complexities of supply and demand dynamics, risk management, and strategic decision-making, contributing to the growth and stability of CNOOC Gas and Power Trading & Marketing Company and Beijing Gas Group in the LNG business. An accomplished speaker and thought leader, Mr. Hugo brings a wealth of insights to the conference stage, making him an invaluable asset for engaging discussions on the present and future of LNG trading.

Nirva Ghelani
Lead Principal, Sustainability & Maritime Decarbonization, BHP

Nirva leads the Maritime Decarbonisation portfolio for BHP where she manages their decarbonisation strategy and operationalizes sustainability initiatives such as launch of world’s first LNG fuelled Newcastlemax, market stimulation for biofuels in Asia and most recently wind assisted propulsion installation. In addition, she is also actively involved in maritime ecosystem partnerships such as Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation, Global Maritime Forum’s green corridor for Iron Ore and First Movers Coalition for shipping to create an enabling environment within the maritime community for driving emissions abatement and uplifting the industry to higher standards of sustainability.

Prior to BHP, Nirva was a senior consultant at McKinsey & Company working with Mining, Maritime and Energy sector clients across Asia Pacific to drive large scale transformations for operational improvement and bottom-line impact.

Nirva is a graduate from National University of Singapore and lives in Singapore. Her passions include traveling and experimenting with new cuisines.

Unai Pastor Aguirrezabal
VP Origination, Cheniere Energy

Mr. Unai Pastor Aguirrezabal is the Vice President of Origination Asia and Singapore Office Director at Cheniere Energy.

Based in Singapore since 2016, he is responsible for Cheniere’s origination and business development activities throughout the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions. He leads the Singapore team that marketed Corpus Christi T3, Sabine Pass T6 and Corpus Christi Stage 3, and its expansion, successfully concluding deals with customers in Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, and international oil companies (IOCs) in the AP region.

Prior to joining Cheniere, Unai worked at RasGas as a Marketing Specialist for Korea, Taiwan, and Bangladesh for over 6 years. He held various positions in the analytical, short-term, and long-term marketing teams before joining Cheniere. Before his tenure at RasGas, Unai also worked in the commercial and strategy department at Stream LNG (Repsol/Gas Natural).

Mr. Pastor holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry, a Bachelor degree in Economics and a postgraduate degree in Energy Business Management

Petra de Groene
Director of Economics and Sustainability, City of Rotterdam, Netherlands

Ms. Petra de Groene is Director Economic Affairs and Sustainability for urban development at the City of Rotterdam. As the Director, she oversees the delivery of the City and Port’s commitment to promote sustainable development including the production and use of renewable energy to make the city future-proof.

In august 2018, Ms. Petra de Groene started as Director Economic Affairs and Sustainability for the City of Rotterdam. In her current position, Petra is responsible for local efforts to fight climate change. Important goals for the Rotterdam as a city, region and port are among others the reducement of Co2 emissions and the facilitation and acceleration of the heating transition in the built environment (natural gas-free neighborhoods). She is also responsible for the economic development of the city of Rotterdam including its region. Main targets are to enhance the economical resilience of the city (post Covid19) and to stimulate strong and distinctive economic sectors such as the CleanTech sector, Maritime industry and Leisure activities.

Prior to the City of Rotterdam, Ms. Petra de Groene has been Director of Competition and Consumers at the Directorate General of Energy, Telecom and Competition of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (2015-2018). Previously, she was Deputy Director of Aviation at the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment (2011-2015) and she held the position of Deputy Director of Energy and Transport Regulation at the Dutch Competition Authority (2001-2011) where she gained a lot of experience in energy regulation, competition law and consumer protection.

Ms. Petra studied international law at the university of Utrecht and Copenhagen. She started her career in 1998 at the Ministry of Agriculture before she moved on as a legal consultant at Brunel Legal.

Petra de Groene studied Dutch Law with a specialization in International Law at Utrecht University.

Head of Innovation and R&D, EDPR APAC

Nuno Marinho leads the Innovation and R&D department at EDPR APAC, where his team scouts for new growth opportunities in the domains of renewables, storage, and green H2.

Before coming to Singapore, Nuno was working for EDP NEW, where he led a research team focusing on Flexibility, Renewables Integration and green H2.

Prior to EDP, Nuno worked as a researcher for EDF R&D in economic and technical analysis of energy systems, including power system's regulation operation and planning, and grid integration of storage and renewable energy.

Nuno holds a Master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, Portugal and a PhD degree from CentraleSupélec, Paris, France.

Eric Pang
Director, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD), Hong Kong SAR

Mr Eric PANG is the Director of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) and the General Manager of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Trading Fund (EMSTF), both of which are under the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China. He leads over 5,000 staff in EMSD. As the Director, he is responsible for enforcing legislations in ensuring public safety on using electricity, gas, railway and other electrical and mechanical installations, and promoting energy efficiency and conservation as well as the application of renewable energy in Hong Kong. As the General Manager of the EMSTF, he administers the provision of one-stop, comprehensive, professional and quality E&M engineering services to government bureaux and departments, as well as public bodies such as the Hospital Authority and Airport Authority. The turnover of EMSTF reaches about $8 billion in 2019/20.

Mr PANG is an engineer by profession. He has over 30 years’ experience in engineering management and public administration. He is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and has served as the Chairman of the HKIE Gas and Energy Division.

Varun Gujral
CEO Asia Pacific, ENGIE GEMS

Varun Gujral is the CEO of ENGIE Global Energy Management & Sales and Head of Commercial & Green Solutions for Asia Pacific. He joined ENGIE Global Markets (former GDB SUEZ Trading) in May 2012. Varun benefits from more than 20 years of expertise in energy trading and risk management. He has worked with Indian Oil Corporation and Cairn India Limited. Varun is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He is regarded as an expert in the industry and gets invited for strategic discussion as well as presenter/speaker in international conferences.

Annie Ngo
Managing Partner, EPLegal

Annie is a commercial, contract and legal expert in the Vietnam Oil and Gas sector with over 20 years of working experience. She used to work for Unocal Houston, an Oil company in the USA in the year 2002.

Annie’s career highlights include establishing the Supply Chain Management System and advising on all Legal, Commercial, Contract and Procurement matters as the Procurement Manager in Cuulong Joint Operating Company (CLJOC), an Operator in the Oil & Gas industry which operates in Block 15-1, Cuu Long Basin, Vietnam. CLJOC is a Joint Operating Company with PetroVietnam, ConocoPhillips (now, it is Perenco), KNOC, SK & Geopetrol as shareholders. Procurement activities in CLJOC cover all areas of upstream operations such as project development, subsurface, well operations, production operations and Crude oil export activities.

Annie has managed the Crude oil trading and selling activities of PVOIL Corporation in Vietnam. Annie has also joined the Gas Project with Bien Dong Petroleum Operating Company (BDPOC), a Gas Operator in Vietnam which is owned 51% by PetroVietnam and 49% by Gazprom International EP. Corporation. She gained experience in Gas Transportation and Allocation, Gas Selling and Purchases with Gas Buyer, as well as in Condensate Commercial activities. Annie also worked as consultant on the Commercial and Contractual aspects of the Petroleum Sharing Contract in this project, developing all Commercial Agreements for the joint operation between PetroVietnam and Gazprom International EP. Corporation.

Annie has also worked with PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) as Commercial Manager, in charge of all commercial activities in the Corporation. Furthermore, she worked for CGG Veritas, a company providing upstream services to the Vietnam Oil and Gas market.

Since 2018, Annie has become the Managing Partner of EPLegal. Annie, with her many years of experience, has successfully advised various domestic and foreign businesses on legal issues related to large-scale projects in the oil & gas industry and renewable energy in Vietnam. She has also advised Petro Vietnam Gas Corporation in many LNG MSPAs and LNG importation contracts to Vietnam. The 1st PVGas’ LNG cargo has successfully imported to Vietnam in July 2023.

In addition, Annie has gradually expanded her practice areas into finance and banking, corporate – M&A, and also advised and represented clients in commercial and arbitration disputes. As an outstanding arbitration practitioner in Vietnam and Asia, Annie has contributed to many important seminars and workshops on international Arbitration in Oil & Gas industry in Vietnam. With in-depth knowledge of international arbitration proceedings and international dispute resolution strategies, Annie has consulted for many Clients on dispute resolution at SIAC. Annie also has experiences in dispute resolution using SIAC Rules in SIAC related to EPC Contract between the Vietnamese SOE and foreign Contractors disputes. Her role is counsel acting in arbitrations for clients in disputes in SIAC.

In 2022, Annie is ranked by LEGAL 500 in Shipping, aviation, project & energy, dispute resolution, banking & finance. She is also ranked by IFLR 1000 as Highly Regarded Lawyer and is 1 among 7 Women Leaders in Vietnam in 2023.

Andy Elliott
President, ExxonMobil LNG Asia Pacific 

Andy Elliott joined Esso Australia Pty Ltd in 1999 as a geologist, working on a variety of drilling programs in the Gippsland Basin in Australia. He went on to work on exploration and production projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, South America and Asia Pacific.

In 2008, Andy was posted to Houston, U.S., as a planning advisor for the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions for Exploration. He took on the role as Geoscience Operations Technical Manager in 2011, in Calgary, Canada, where his portfolio ranged from tight oil development, to oil sand mining operations.

In 2014, Andy became Director of Exploration in Australia with a portfolio ranging from rank wildcat drilling in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea, to new opportunity generation in Asia Pacific.

In 2018, Andy returned to Houston as a member of the Upstream Organisation Design Team, before becoming Upstream Portfolio Manager in 2019.

From 2021 onwards, Andy held the role of LNG Strategy and Portfolio Manager and was responsible for developing and maintaining the LNG Strategy, as well as growing and optimising the global LNG portfolio. He assumed his current position as President, ExxonMobil LNG Asia Pacific in 2023.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree in Geology from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. He is married with two children, and his interests include, carpentry, reading and travel.

Mr. Saunak Rai is Head of “FueLNG”, and also the Chairman of National Technical Committee for Bunkering (Cryogenic and Gaseous Fuels). Under his leadership, FUELNG successfully performed first in Asia, simultaneous cargo, and ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation with CMA CGM Scandola and first in the world, LNG Bunkering to LNG fueled Newcastlemax Bulk carrier Mount Tourmaline. He also led FueLNG to win the World LNG Award 2021 for Outstanding Contribution to LNG Industry at WORLD LNG AWARD at Rome in Dec 2021.

Saunak Rai graduated with President’s Gold Medal in Nautical Science from Mumbai University and has completed his MBA from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. He is also a certified Chartered Ship Broker and Fellow and Executive Committee Member of the Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers. Saunak is also business Coach and Singapore Ambassador of Copenhagen Business School.

Dinesh Kumar

Dinesh is currently working as Vice President, Trading in GAIL Global Singapore Pte Ltd(GGSPL ) which is a subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited and has experience of around 15 years in LNG, International Business Development and M&A.

He has experience working across the LNG value chain covering, equity acquisition in LNG projects, long-term SPA’s including with Dominion Cove Point, and sourcing & sale of cargoes under different structures including DESTINATION swaps/Time Swaps.

He has an MBA (International Business) from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi and Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.).

Rahul Jain
General Manager, Trading, GAIL Singapore

Rahul has 12 years of experience spanning full LNG value chain including LNG Market. Development/Origination, Physical LNG Trading and LNG Derivatives Trading.

He is currently working as General Manager (Trading) in GAIL Global Singapore Pte. Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited). Looking after LNG Trading activities from Singapore office including sourcing & sale of LNG cargoes based on long-short portfolio positions.

In addition to own portfolio requirements, Rahul is involved in capturing other LNG cargo sourcing opportunities emanating from Indian market from sectors like Refineries/Petrochemicals, Aggregators etc, identifying arbitrage opportunities prevailing in Atlantic and Asia pacific markets to optimise U.S. LNG cargoes in form of Swaps.

Rahul has in-depth experience of developing Indian LNG markets along with negotiating & execution of longterm sale-purchase agreements (SPA) with various LNG market sectors like Aggregators, Refinery/Petrochemicals, Steel, Power, Fertilizer etc.

He is involved in structuring of complex LNG sale/purchase transactions involving physical embedded options and setting-up Hedging desk to manage price risk exposure emanating out of various longshort positions in GAIL’s LNG portfolio.

He is also involved in the conceptualisation and implementation of various pan India schemes like Fertilizer and Power pooling schemes to give a boost to LNG consumption in these sectoral markets.

Lau Wei Jie
Director, Partnerships, Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation

Wei Jie is the Director of Partnerships and technical lead on the Ammonia as a Marine Fuel initiative at the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation(GCMD). Since the launch of the GCMD ammonia bunkering safety study, the projects team has embarked on scoping a pilot for a ship-to-ship cargo transfer in port limits.

Prior to GCMD, he was a Senior Manager at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore where he oversaw projects, supported the development of the maritime R&D roadmap, and successfully delivered outcomes to advance Singapore’s maritime interests.

Wei Jie graduated from NUS with BEng (Hons) (Chemical Engineering) in 2011.

Keisuke Sadamori
Director, Energy Markets and Security, International Energy Agency

Keisuke Sadamori became the IEA Director for Energy Markets and Security in 2012, leading an administrative structure that includes several core functions of the IEA, including monitoring global oil markets and responding to energy-supply disruptions.

Prior to joining the IEA, Mr Sadamori, a Japanese national, held many senior positions at the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), including Deputy Director-General at the Minister’s Secretariat.

Mr Sadamori served as the executive assistant to the Prime Minister in 2011, when the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami hit Japan, causing the Fukushima nuclear plant accident. Before this, he worked on international energy affairs and was the representative of the Government of Japan in such forums as the IEA Governing Board in 2008 and 2009. He also served as the chief negotiator for trade and investment agreements with Asian countries in 2009 and 2010.

Mr Sadamori received an LL.B. from University of Tokyo in 1983 and a Masters in Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University in 1990.

Izumi Kai
Executive Officer, Head of Platform Business Division, JERA Co., Inc.

Izumi Kai is Executive Officer, Head of Platform Business Division of JERA Co. Mr. Kai also serves as a member of the Board of Directors at Aboitz Power in the Philippines and Summit Power International in Singapore.

Previously, Mr. Kai was the President of JERA Energy America, where he played a pivotal role in the procurement of natural gas and export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Freeport LNG Project. In 2016, he joined the Tokyo-based global energy company JERA Co. which is responsible for generating approximately 30% of Japan’s electricity. Mr Kai contributed to JERA’s setting up its LNG optimization and trading platform on a global scale. He was appointed as the Head of Freeport LNG Business, Senior Vice President of JERA Americas in 2019, and Chief Strategy Officer in 2021.

Mr Kai began his career as a civil engineer at Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) and has more than 25 years of business development experience in Japan, Malaysia, Australia and the U.S. He led JERA Americas’ USD 2.5 billion acquisition of a 25.7% interest in Freeport LNG from Global Infrastructure Partners in 2022. Mr. Kai holds an MBA in Global Management from Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Yosuke Sato
Deputy Director, LNG Research & Analysis, Japan Oil, Gas & Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC)

Yosuke Sato is an experienced energy professional currently serving as JOGMEC's Project Director. He earned his Bachelor of Law from Keio University in 2007 and has held various key roles at JOGMEC. He joined the company in 2007, focusing on National Oil Stockpiling Management. In 2012, he became Deputy General Manager in the Washington, D.C. Office and then served as Budget Coordinator in the Oil & Gas Upstream Unit in 2015. He transitioned to Project Evaluation in 2017, and undertook an overseas assignment with Sakhalin Oil and Gas Development in Houston in 2019. In 2022, he became Project Director in the Research and Analysis Department.

Cindy Lim
CEO, Keppel Infrastructure Holdings Pte Ltd

Ms Lim joined Keppel in 2001. She was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Keppel Infrastructure Holdings Pte Ltd (Keppel Infrastructure) on 15 February 2021.

In her more than 20 years with Keppel Group, Ms Lim has held various leadership positions. Wen-Bin Qian is Vice President of Clean Hydrogen since 2020, heading Linde’s investment activities in clean hydrogen as well as decarbonization across Asia Pacific. He is currently based in Singapore.

Prior to this role, Wen-Bin was Vice President of Business Development, having led Linde’s industry gas investments in different geographies in Asia Pacific from 2014 incl. China (2014-2015) and ASEAN, South Asia, South Pacific (2016-2020).

Hon. Reece Whitby
Minister for Environment, Climate Action, Racing & Gaming, The Parliament of Western Australia

Hon. Reece Whitby MLA is the Western Australian Minister for Environment; Climate Action; Racing and Gaming, and Member for Baldivis.

Reece was elected as the Member for Baldivis in March 2017, becoming the first local member for the new electorate. In the 2021 state election, Reece was successfully re-elected as the Member for Baldivis and appointed as the Minister for Emergency Services; Racing and Gaming; Small Business; and Volunteering. In December 2021, Reece was appointed the Minister for Environment and Climate Action before regaining the Racing and Gaming portfolio in December 2022.

He has overseen government departments responsible for protecting Western Australia’s environment since December 2021 and regained the Racing and Gaming portfolio in December 2022.

Reece is coordinating the State’s response to climate change while establishing a whole-of-government approach to reduce emissions.

He is Western Australia’s first Minister to attend a United Nations Climate Change Conference, addressing audiences at COP27 and meeting Ministerial counterparts from across the globe.

Reece is tasked with implementing WA’s nation-leading Plan for Plastics and the McGowan Government’s historic decision to end native logging from 2024.

As the Minister for Environment, he is responsible for delivering Plan for Our Parks. Five million hectares of national and marine parks and reserves will be created by early 2024, increasing the State’s conservation estate by 20 per cent.

Martin Houston
Vice Chairman, Tellurian Inc.

Martin began his career as petroleum geologist in 1979 and since then has worked worldwide for over 43 years, managing all forms of enterprise in the energy industry.

He earned a BSc in geology from Newcastle University and an MSc in petroleum geology from Imperial College, London.

He has established a strong external reputation in the international gas business and is largely credited with being the key architect of BG Group’s world class LNG business. He retired from BG in 2014 as chief operating officer and executive director after 32 years.

Martin has been member of many Boards over the past three decades and recently stepped down as Chairman of EnQuest plc, a FTSE listed oil and gas company. He is also Vice-Chairman of Tellurian Inc, a company he co-founded in 2016.

He is a Non-Executive Director of BUPA Arabia, a healthcare company based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and of CC Energy, a private oil and gas company with producing assets in Oman and the USA.

Martin is a Senior Advisory Partner and Chairman of the Energy Group at Moelis and Company, a boutique investment bank and is on the Advisory Board of Radia Inc, the mega-wind company.

Martin is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London, is on the Advisory Board of the Global Energy Policy unit at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs in New York and the International Advisory Board of Newcastle University. He is an invited member of the National Petroleum Council of the United States.

Denis Bonhomme

Denis Bonhomme is the Global Sales and Business Development Director of TotalEnergies Marine Fuels, TotalEnergies’ dedicated business in charge of worldwide bunkering activities. He oversees all commercial and operational activities for the business entity’s portfolio of marine fuel solutions.

Denis started his career in the oil sector (Elf & TotalEnergies), where he took on the role of Corporate Treasurer in charge of oil and gas assets financing for 5 years in Aberdeen and London (UK). He was then appointed Business Development Manager in the Natural Gas Department, where he worked on the development of LNG assets in Nigeria and power and gas assets in the Middle East.

Denis subsequently spent 4 years at McKinsey, specializing in energy and financial assignments for clients in the energy and industrial sector, and 2 years in the retail industry, before joining SUEZ in 2006 as Strategy Director for the Energy Services business line. In 2010, he was appointed Strategy Director for GDF SUEZ LNG, the LNG Business Unit of GDF SUEZ/ENGIE.

Following TotalEnergies’ acquisition of ENGIE’s upstream LNG assets, Denis became Managing Director and Senior Vice President Business Development Asia for Global LNG APAC, the TotalEnergies GRP subsidiary based in Singapore. He was based in Beijing in the last 3 years, as Vice President, LNG, for TotalEnergies in China, before taking on his current role in TotalEnergies Marine Fuels.

Denis holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin (USA) and a Diploma of the EM Lyon.

Michael Wong

Michael is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Tuas Power and is responsible for developing business strategies in key areas like retail, trading and regulation and strengthening the performance of the Company. He joined the Company in 2005 and rose to take on key positions over the last 15 years.

In his previous appointment as General Manager of Tuas Power Supply (TPS), the retail business arm of Tuas Power, Michael guided the team to grow its customer base to include customers from different industries over the past 10 years.

Based in Singapore, Rob brings with him extensive experience in storage business, commercial, operations and change management. At Vopak, Rob has held several management positions in safety and terminal management in the Netherlands before becoming Managing Director Vopak Terminal Vlaardingen in 2019 with the last role as the Managing Director of Australia. Rob started his professional career with Vopak in 2007.

Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Management and a master’s degree in Business Administration, from Erasmus University, Rotterdam.

Douglas Wharton
Senior Vice President, Venture Global LNG

Douglas Wharton is Senior Vice President, LNG Marketing at Venture Global (VG) LNG Marketing Pte. Ltd. and is based in Singapore.

Mr. Wharton is responsible for marketing LNG from Venture Global’s portfolio of LNG projects, including Calcasieu Pass, Plaquemines and CP2, to customers throughout Asia Pacific.

Mr. Wharton has been in the energy industry for over 15 years in various commercial roles with a focus on natural gas and LNG.

Prior to joining Venture Global in 2021, Mr. Wharton helped lead Cheniere’s LNG marketing efforts in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Wharton began his career with Chevron and held positions of increasing responsibility in the United States, United Kingdom, Venezuela, and Australia. In Australia, he worked on the North West Shelf, Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG projects.

Mr. Wharton holds a Master of International Affairs (MIA) degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from Lafayette College.

Ankit Sachan
Principal Consultant, Energy Transition & Cleantech Consulting, S&P Global Commodity Insights

Ankit is a Principal Consultant in the Energy Transition Consulting division at S&P Global Commodity Insights (SPGCI). He specializes in low-carbon hydrogen/ammonia markets and decarbonization developments in the Asia-Pacific region. Before joining the consulting division, Ankit led hydrogen analytics in the region at SPGCI, where he worked on the development of hydrogen supply and demand forecasts, production and delivered cost models, and delivered key analytical and market insights to the regional clients. Additionally, he played a key role in the development of daily hydrogen price assessments for Australia, bringing much needed clarity to the hydrogen markets.

Prior to joining S&P Commodity Insights, Ankit worked as a Research Fellow at Energy Studies Institute (ESI). During his tenure, he actively contributed to the development of decarbonization strategies for both Singapore and the broader ASEAN region.

Atsuko Kawasaki
Senior Editor, APAC LNG, S&P Global Commodity Insights

Atsuko Kawasaki has been reporting energy market since 2000 while she joined Platts Asian oil team in December 2006 in Tokyo.

She contributed to establishing transparency in the bunker market for Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and China when she was in Tokyo.

After moving to Singapore in September 2013, her coverage has ranged across the barrel, from crude oil to light, middle and heavy distillates, it expanded to the Asian LNG market.

She is a regular speaker in the Platts Podcast. Atsuko speaks English and her native Japanese.

Cecillia Zheng
Principal Research Analyst, S&P Global Commodity Insights

Cecillia Zheng is a key member of S&P Asia Pacific Gas, Power and Climate Solutions research and consulting team. She leads Southeast Asian power and renewable market research and has a deep understanding of the energy market dynamics. Prior to joining S&P Global, Ms. Zheng worked with Alstom Power (now GE Power), where she was responsible for market intelligence on power generation fuel competition for both thermal and renewable resources. Ms. Zheng holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Nanjing University, China, and a master’s degree from ESCP Europe, France.

Chong Zhi Xin

Zhi Xin is a Director of S&P Global, based in Singapore. He leads the emerging market team covering natural gas and LNG in South Asia and Southeast Asia. His focus is on understanding supply, demand and pricing outlooks for commodity markets and the impact of government policies. A recognized expert, Zhi Xin has spoken at numerous conferences and his views are routinely sought by major media publications. He has advised numerous LNG buyers and sellers on LNG portfolio optimization, transactional advisory and contractual pricing issues. He has also worked as a policy and planning analyst at the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, where he was involved in the planning of the electricity and gas sector, Singapore LNG terminal development and various projects on Jurong Island.

Ciaran Roe

Ciaran Roe is Global Director for LNG at S&P Global Commodity Insights. Ciaran Roe manages the S&P Global Commodity Insights LNG market reporting team, which covers key benchmarks including JKM. Ciaran has worked for over a decade in pricing major commodity markets, ranging from crude oil to iron ore. Ciaran regularly speaks at industry events and in the media on subjects such as the impact of tariffs on trade, and the energy transition.

Donavan Lim
Hydrogen Pricing Analyst, S&P Global Commodity Insights

Donavan is the Hydrogen Pricing Analyst for Asia. He provides insight into the hydrogen market movement and developments as well as trends ongoing in this part of the world. Donavan holds a Master’s degree in Applied Finance from Singapore Management University in Singapore.

Hui Min Lee

Hui Min is the Regional Manager, Asia Fertilizer, at Fertecon – S&P Global Commodity Insights. Based in Singapore, she covers the fertilizer market in Asia and launched the Sustainability Fertilizer newsletter.

Prior to joining Fertecon, Hui Min was the editor with S&P Global Platts, reporting on the Asia Thermal Coal market and had a stint with ICIS as a Market Reporter covering solvent products. Hui Min has a master’s degree in international relations from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese language and literature from Nanjing University, China. Irfan Choudhry

Irfan Choudhry is the Director of Power & Renewables Consulting for Asia-Pacific at S&P Global. In his 25 years career, he has joined Genesis Ray Energy as the CEO; Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Galway Group and Managing Consultant, Gas & Power, Asia – Pacific and Middle East at Wood Mackenzie. Before that, he worked at CRISIL and Power Finance Corporation Ltd.

Irfan also earned an MBA in Finance from the International Management Institute (IMI) in 1998, and a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) with a specialization in Finance from Delhi University in 1996.

Jeffrey Moore
Manager, Long Term Natural Gas, S&P Global Commodity Insights

Mr. Moore is the Manager of Asian LNG Analytics, based in Singapore. He has been at S&P Global Commodity Insights for over nine years, analyzing the commodities markets. He currently oversees the forecasts and data related to the liquefied natural gas markets for all importing and exporting countries in Asia. Jeff's work feeds weekly and monthly analytic publications and datasets which support S&P Global Commodity Insights increasingly important presence in the LNG markets in Asia. He is also responsible for the JKM price forecast. Prior to moving to Singapore, Mr. Moore was a senior analyst focused on the North American market and produced regional fundamental forecasts which fed into the price forecasts for various hubs across the continent, including Henry Hub. Jeff has spoken at multiple conferences and contributed to panels across the world speaking on topics ranging from natural gas prices, storage, production and LNG. He holds a degree in economics from Colorado College.

Jenny Yang
Senior Director, Greater China Gas Research & Analysis, S&P Global Commodity Insights

Jenny Yang, Senior Director, covers market analysis on natural and low-carbon gases at S&P Global Commodity Insights. Based in Singapore, Ms. Yang's recent research includes China's energy market reforms, Chinese companies’ LNG procurement strategies, the impacts of China's gas demand and related policies on the global gas and LNG market, and the potential role of hydrogen in the energy mix under the government's carbon emissions reduction ambition. She regularly presents and moderates C-level executive dialogs at industry conferences including CERAWeek, LNG and Hydrogen Gas Market Forum, International Energy Executive Forum, and Asia Gas Forum.

Ms. Yang also has extensive knowledge of electricity load forecast and peak demand management, pricing and structuring of electricity products, power retail operations, and electricity market deregulation. Prior to joining S&P Global, she was vice president of pricing, products, and markets at Constellation NewEnergy in Houston, Texas. Earlier, she was a quantitative analyst at Williams Companies, where she produced forward-looking price and volatility curves for energy-related trading commodities.

Ms. Yang holds a Bachelor of Business and Administration and a Master of Business and Administration from the University of Oklahoma, United States.

Johan Utama
Principal Research Analyst, S&P Global Commodity Insights

Johan Utama is a principal research analyst at S&P Global Commodity Insights. Based in Singapore, he covers natural gas and LNG in South and Southeast Asia.

He has had 15 years of experience across the hydrocarbon supply chain, from exploration, production, to transportation and distribution. He has worked with E&P companies, oilfield service providers, commercial intelligence providers, government regulators, pipeline operators, investment banks, and ship owners, primarily on strategy, planning and commercial issues.

Johan holds a Bachelor in Informatics Engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology and a Master of Economics from the Singapore Management University.

Kenneth Foo

Kenneth is the Singapore-based Associate Director for the Platts Asia-Pacific LNG team. In this capacity, Kenneth spearheads Platts' pricing and methodology coverage of regional LNG markets in Asia.
