Battery cars overtake diesel for first time in EU sales market share
According to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), sales of battery-electric cars (BEVs) have surpassed diesel for the first time in the EU market, with a market share of 15.1% in June. The growing appeal of electric vehicles has driven a 66% year-on-year increase in BEV registrations, indicating a significant shift in consumer preference and a decline in demand for conventional road fuel.
