Platts Dated Brent^®

Published daily since 1987, Platts Dated Brent by Commodity Insights is a benchmark assessment of the price of physical, light North Sea crude oil.

We assess the price for dated crude streams in the North Sea: Brent Ninian Blend (from which Dated Brent takes its name), Forties Blend, Oseberg, Ekofisk and Troll.

Taken together, these five North Sea grades represent a robust supply of approximately 1 million oil barrels per day of production.

Along with Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), we're consulting with the market on the evolution of the Brent complex, which includes Dated Brent, Cash Brent, and ICE Brent Crude Oil futures. Read our white paper about Brent's evolution.

Platts Dubai^®

The Platts Dubai by Commodity Insights price is the primary physical pricing reference for crude oil loading from the Middle East Gulf, Far East Russia and other parts of the world to refiners and has been since spot markets first emerged in the 1980s.

Platts Dubai assessments reflect the repeatable, transactable price of Dubai and Oman crude oil for loading two, three and four months ahead of the assessment date.

Alternative crudes Oman, Upper Zakum, Al Shaheen or Murban are also deliverable into the Platts Dubai contract, under a mechanism known as alternative delivery.

Platts American GulfCoast Select

Platts AGS^® by Commodity Insights brings the US oil market a new benchmark assessment that reflects the value of high-quality, export-ready crude at the intersection of domestic and global demand, free of any distortion from logistics.

It reflects the value of light sweet crude oil loading 15-45 days forward on an FOB basis from locations along the US Gulf Coast including Houston, Corpus Christi, Beaumont, Nederland, Texas City, and Port Arthur, with the most competitive location on a cargo-size normalized basis setting the price assessment.
