S&P Global Platts Paraxylene Market Growth and Trends Webinar

Vanessa Ronsisvalle has been working for S&P Global Platts for 12 years. She joined Platts in 2004 as an oil reporter covering residual fuels, naphtha, jet fuel and biofuels.

Vanessa moved to Singapore in 2012 and joined S&P Global Platts Price Group as an oil and shipping methodology and operations specialist and moved to her role as Associate Editorial Director, Petrochemicals Asia in November 2017.

Prior to joining S&P Global Platts Vanessa was an oil broker, broking residual fuels and jet fuel in Mediterranean for 8 years. Vanessa is from New Zealand but has spent most of her life in the United Kingdom and currently resides in Singapore.

Samar Niazi is the Managing Editor for aromatics with the Asia Petrochemicals team, based out of Singapore for S & P Global Platts, a leader in commodities benchmarks worldwide. She was previously handling multiple agriculture markets in Asia. She has worked at a major commodities trading firm and joined the company in October 2015 to cover the Asian biodiesel and corn markets.

Samar has an MBA from the Lee Kong Chian School at the Singapore Management University and an undergraduate degree in business from IIUI, Islamabad.

Miranda Zhang is responsible for polyester chain (PTA, MEG and PET) since she joined S&P Global Platts as a petrochemical editor from July 2018. Prior to her position at Platts, Miranda had five years of manufacturing experience in polymers and olefins sites at ExxonMobil, as well as heading projects at the company to optimize plant safety, reliability, product quality and profitability. She graduated with a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from National University of Singapore.

Anthony brings many years of experience in both refining and petrochemicals, including olefins, aromatics and motor gasoline blending. He plays an important role in Platts analytics bridging global refinery output, gasoline blend stocks and petrochemical feedstock. His focus is on supply/ demand modeling, developing blending methodology and analyzing naphtha flows. Prior to joining Platts, he was working with ExxonMobil for ten years moving through roles in refinery and petrochemical economics and optimization, production and feedstock planning. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from the National University of Singapore.

Rohan Menon joined Platts in 2014, and started out covering the Asian isomer mixed xylenes and solvent mixed xylenes markets. Since then, he has covered the Asian benzene and paraxylene markets, two of Platts’ benchmark assessments, both of which are used in settling paper swap contracts on the Singapore Exchange (SGX).

Prior to joining Platts, he completed a Masters in Chemical Process Engineering with Distinction from University College London (UCL), with a research project relating to fluid catalytic cracking. His previous experience includes a stint with Development Consultants Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s premier engineering consulting firms.
